Am 20. Oktober 2024 wird in Basel-Stadt ein neuer Grosser Rat gewählt. In der laufenden Legislatur sind die Mehrheitsverhältnisse und damit viele Entscheidungen knapp. Die Fraktion der Grünliberalen Partei ist mit ihren 8 Sitzen oft das Zünglein an der Waage, da weder der bürgerliche Block mit 43 von 100 Sitzen noch der linke Block mit 48 von 100 Sitzen über eine Mehrheit verfügen. The upcoming Nationalratswahlen 2023 in Kanton Basel-Stadt presents a unique scenario due to the reduction of one seat in Basel-Stadt, resulting in a total of four seats down from the previous 5, and all five of the previous seat holders are seeking re-election. To facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the potential seat distribution, I have developed Wahlen2023, an open-source computational tool using Python and Streamlit.
